About the safari

Our Cape Town safari trip has been rated by Sawubona magazine as one of the Top 10 best day-trip destinations. The safari is led by an experienced guide who will share inside-stories and facts about your surroundings – easily rousing your inner wild side. Duration of game drive and departure times are approximate and dependent on the interaction of the guests with the ranger and the sighting of animals. Please note: transport to and from the reserve is for your own arrangement. Please bring a bathing costume, sunblock and warm clothing.

Afternoon Safari Itinerary

09h45 - Depart Cape Town (optional extra with transport)
It takes just under 2 hours to get to Aquila. Please leave in time to arrive by 12h00pm
12h00 - Welcome drinks
Welcome your arrival with a beverage at reception
12h30 - Buffet lunch
Wide variety of South African meats, salads, desserts and more on show
13h15 - Game Drive
Duration of game drive and departure times are approximate and dependent on the interaction of the guests with the ranger and the sighting of animals
16h30 - Depart for Cape Town

Spot the Big 5

Aquila is home to the big 5 animals, so you're bound to spot all of them during your early morning safari tour. Bring your camera!

Family Friendly

Aquila is a family friendly game reserve, and children are able to join us in the game drives. We also offer a Junior Range Programme.

Experienced Guide

A professional tour guide will drive you through the reserve, assisting you with spotting the Big 5 and giving you specific information about the animals on route.

Transport Optional

Afternoon game drives at Aquila offer the option of transport to and from the reserve, or you may self-drive.
