About the safari

A Cape Town safari day trip on horseback is a fantastic and adventurous option to experiencing the natural wonders of Africa in the Karoo veld. No experience is necessary for the horseback adventure. Maximum person weight – 95Kgs and minimum age requirement is 16 years old and older. Duration of game drive and departure times are approximate and dependent on the interaction of the guests with the ranger and the sighting of animals.

Spot the Big 5

Aquila is home to the big 5 animals, so you're bound to spot all of them during your early morning safari tour. Bring your camera!

Family Friendly

Aquila is a family friendly game reserve, and children are able to join us in the game drives. We also offer a Junior Range Programme.

Experienced Guide

A professional tour guide will drive you through the reserve, assisting you with spotting the Big 5 and giving you specific information about the animals on route.

Self-Drive or Book Transport

Our horse back safari at Aquila offer the option of transport to and from the reserve, unless you want to self-drive to our reserve.
